The soul of this place resides in its sacred petroglyphs, carved into a rock on the riverbank, dating back to the Preceramic and Formative Periods (300 BC to 300 AD). These seven figures represent frogs or toads, symbols associated with water and indigenous agricultural cycles. In addition to its archaeological value, the surrounding area boasts a protected forest where orchids, heliconias, and various medicinal plants can be observed.

For a complete experience, Cabañas Sapo Rumi offers lodging in the "wasi cabin," with spacious rooms and breathtaking views of the river and mountains, allowing guests to relax to the sounds of nature.
